Geek-O-Rama!

Well well well, look what I just got! The thing every geek really wants! A Freeduino prototyping board! You can get your very own at the Freeduino website

The Freeduino project is a project that clones the currently closed source
Arduino project. In effect opening the source by making itself completely compatible with the Arduino platform. Which is based on another open source project called Processing

I plan to use it to make a RepRap; rapid prototyping machine! Which is essentially a printer capable of printing in plastic good on three axis!

Yet another invasion

In preparation for my trip to Brazil I had to get *another* passport because my old one was 'damaged'( its corners were dog eared ) and this is it! It is embedded with an RFID which is readable from a fairly considerable distance with the right reader. This allows any jack ass with a reader to know exactly who I am and were I came from etc. Yay, democracy. But damn it is a sexy little book!

Flight home

I know people all say that this is one of the worst travel days of the year, but I haven't experienced that at all. Quite the opposite actually. Early arrival at my destination and a beautiful flight along the way.

So this is what it's all about...

So tonight, I'm sitting between two sleeping homeless dudes while I do my laundry. In fact I wouldn't be doing my laundry here if it wasn't for the good graces of one of those men. This is one of those creepy, never seen anyone who works here, has time locks on the doors kind of joint. If you get in it's door then it's open. If not, well then it must be closed! Kind of interesting how much I trust these guys right now. At least so far as not to rob me blind, I hope...
At any rate I'm doing laundry and tomorrow I go back to portland for the holiday. I'm really lookingforward to my 0430 wake up!

Somtimes we dress up...

I'm so far behind in my course work and my work work wnd my life. I guess that's ok because sometimes you have to let go and just go dress up as something you're not.

What a schedule...

I find myself away from my apartment more often than not these days so i have been packing my lunch...today I've been away so long that i had to eat dinner out today as well.
I've gone vegetarian lately (not militantly) but it's really hard to find a veg spot in the city so tonight i tried a new place, Qdoba, it's a fast food burrito joint that is !!MUCH!! Better than Chipotle. They even have grilled squash and zucchini! Throw that in a tortilla melt some cheese on it and call it delicious! This a small picture of the aftermath! I'm so stuffed!
